5 days with 50 Enthusiastic and chaotic 8-14 year olds may not be everyone’s cup of tea. As part of our corporate social responsibility policy Nexus AV undertook this task to provide the children of Colchester’s Greenstead community with the facility to put on a Cabaret show for their parents. Monday began with an open brief where the children decided what shape the show took, then with singing, dancing and drama tuition they planned and rehersed for the big Friday night show.

Nexus AV were there from the beginning educating the participants in the disciplines of graphics and audio production. The children resourced their own backing tracks and graphical backdrops and then briefed the Nexus technicians on how their act should run.

“This has to be one of the most “full on” weeks we’ve ever had” said Director, Jamie Hazelwood, “these children have grasped the technology and pushed us to the limits! Just brilliant”
